“Winning is a habit. Once you lose it… then it is hard to come by”
I’m sure Bangalore tasted their own medicine. Gilli who has been subtle all along exploded like volcano to crucify Bangalore in the Punjab’s must win game. In the end, its curtain for Bangalore’s winning habit and Punjab continue to live on the hopes of making it to the playoffs.
As we move closer to the knockout, it is time to unleash the Fortune Teller.
The current standings are as follows
Bangalore – 17, Chennai – 16, Mumbai – 16, Knight Riders – 14, Punjab – 14.
Bangalore and Punjab have a game apiece while Chennai, Mumbai and Knight Riders have two. Chennai will beat Kochi and Bangalore, while Mumbai beat Rajasthan and Knight Riders in their remaining games. Both teams will finish at 20 points clinching the top 2 spots.
Bangalore will be the third team to qualify. The form Punjab is in, there is no doubt they will beat Deccan, especially the absence of Sangakara is only going to be an icing in cake to boost their NRR.
Eventually it will all boil down to Knight Riders Vs Pune match to decide the fate of the SRK franchise. Now, don’t you sense it is DADA who will be scripting the destiny of King Khan Boys? Even if you don’t feel that way, the thoughts are seeded in your mind. When Knight Riders are officially evicted, then you can be certain DADAGIRI is over and the Bengal Tiger will sign off in style.
Knockouts:
Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore and Punjab will qualify for the knockouts in the order.
Chennai Vs Mumbai – Qualifer 1. Chennai will beat Mumbai to book a place in the Finals
Bangalore Vs Punjab – Eliminator. Punjab will once again dump Bangalore.
Mumbai Vs Punjab – Qualifer 2. For a change Mumbai will a choke in the game before the Finals.
The stage will be perfectly set for Chennai Vs Punjab Finals. The home conditions should favor Chennai; a repeat of Royals performance by Punjab cannot be discounted.
Bottom Line: Who Dares Wins. Chennai or Punjab?
- Fortune Teller
