Marquee clashes

Pune Vs Knight Riders. This will be the most look forward to battle for the reasons more than cricket. Though Ganguly taking on Knight Riders will be hogging the limelight, let us not forget the clash between Yuvraj Singh and Gautam Gambir. Yuvi is surely feeling the pinch for losing out the captaincy to a junior Gambir. He is all set to prove a point that he can eclipse Gambir despite leading a lesser strong side on paper.  Last time he lived up to his words and did it for Sachin Tendulkar. This time around he did not give a word, but he may have to do it not only for DADA but for himself too. A mouth watering contest is surely on cards.

If Gambir fails to carry his team to a spot in the Top 4, he can tell to himself that he is no good for the national captaincy. Well, that may sound harsh, but truth is always a tough pill to swallow.

Gayle has completely taken this IPL by storm. He has definitely made a strong statement to WICB with his stupendous performance. The catch is what happens if he falls early. After all, no other batsman except Kohli had a good outing at the crease for the past 6 or 7 games for RCB. Guess Gayle may have created a Tendulkar effect in the team. However the theory is not proved yet.

This is the last time we are left to witness Tendulkar – Warne encounter. Though Warne won the first round, looks like the master is all set to clinch round 2. Again, nothing can be sure of Warne - Tendulkar battles.

Mumbai Vs Rajasthan, Mumbai Vs Kolkatta, Chennai Vs Bangalore are sure to evoke interest level of the audience.

It is my gut feeling that Punjab games might turn to be the show stealer.

Bottom line: These last few games of the league stage are going to be sure fun to watch.
